This battery operates by the use of a small cable which connects the battery to the power socket of the camcorder. This fools the camcorder into thinking the device is being run from the mains. The battery can be charged using the JVC (or third party version) AC mains charger supplied with your camcorder or any BN-VF823U battery charger.
